New Magnets ready for the market

I am always loosing things and anyone who knows me personally knows that this is true.... so I decided to create some magnets. I thought I would make a few cute styles for myself so I could post my notes etc on the fridge no longer to be lost. Well I got carried away and made a few extras .I then taped them on some decorated card ,slipped them in a plastic sleeve and wella . New Magnets Ready Set Go !!!!!!

Fun in the Sun

We are finally getting some sun so what have I been doing ???? Playing Yes that's it .
I have been to the lake , played in the sand , gone to the park , sat outside , soaked up some rays , had a barbeque and eaten several ice cream cones!!! This being my favourite thing to do in the summer . I  have had a wonderful week with my friend doing nothing but playing. She reminded me that life is about having fun and trying to live in the moment . The days pass and time goes by and sometimes it is easy to forget to have fun ,relax and enjoy a few ice cream cones..........

Whats New Update

This has been another busy week.The weather has been a little less than desirable so I have spent a lot of time indoors ...and you know what that means .Lots of time to spend on the thing I love most(aside from my children) ART. Since I am currently off work for the summer I am dedicating my time to creativity,learning and exploring new techniques and options in the art world. 

The craft market was a lot of fun it was held on July 1st in Abbotsford on the most beautiful setting an old farm yard ShowUsYourCraftArtisansMarket is the face book link .The market is being held every

second Sunday 9-4 

I also spent the day  in Vancouver  with my Dad and my daughter. We took a short trip down to Deep Cove. I was again inspired by the beauty of the water , the quaint shops and the artwork I saw . I find myself always noticing the unique beauty around and thinking of ways to try and capture it. I contacted my cousin in Norway who's art has been very inspirational to me as well and she offered me some techniques to help me with this next piece .I am really excited to be able to add and explore another medium to my creative process

Victoria Gothic

I have been inspired lately by many different areas and ideas in my life and my surroundings . As I am still working on my pieced for the craft market I am also trying some other ideas some butterfly art and quotes which I will post once I have completed fully. This piece I finished was an idea that started as I was looking through pictures of Victorian era gowns. I wanted her to be romantic and mystical, while I was painting I decided to add in the black raven making the piece have a feeling of darkness and mystery ,I really love this picture
